The good folks at Hidden Hitch, an affiliate of the Cequent Manufacturing Company, recently created a whole new  Class III Trailer Hitch for the 2011 Ford Explorer.  Another of the company’s high standard yet affordable towing parts, it is made to fit into a 2” Hitch Receiver.  This Class III Hitch can be added in around 45 minutes – without any drilling needed.  Installation will require moderate repositioning of your exhaust.  The package comes with the hitch and all installation hardware.

The hitch provides a gross towing weight of 4,000 pounds, having a tongue weight capacity of 400 pounds.  You will be required to supply your own electrical, hitch ball, mount, clip, & pin.  You might possibly want to think about putting a custom look  hitch cover which will help protect the inside of the receiver when you’re not towing anything.
