Curt Manufacturing has released a new Class III Trailer Hitch for the 2011 Chevy Silverado & GMC Sierra Pickups.  It is made specifically for the 2500HD and 3500 Pickups with the 8′ Bed.  This Class III hitch can be installed in approximately 45 minutes - with NO drilling required.  This unit just includes the hitch – the hitch ball, clip, and pin are purchased separately.

The gross towing weight is 8,000 pounds with a tongue weight capacity of 800 pounds.  The receiver opening is 2″ and will accomodate a ball mount of that size.  You may want to consider adding a custom look hitch cover to help protect the inside of the receiver when you’re not towing anything.
